I arrived at Fairbanks while the others took naps. After some errands on up to "Chena Hot Springs"...More like Chena hot "Pool" with boulders surrounding it. It smelt of sulfur, was dirty, yet sooo relaxing. We needed it!. 9:30pm We are heading to Chena Recreation Area. The rivers look promising & not short on great scenery either. * Dave said when people ask what Alaska is like, he will say, "Drive through the valleys & look at the mountains" * Spirits have been exceptional the atmosphere doesn't allow for negativity, plus everyone is extremely friendly. We just found a sweet spot to camp (above)... maybe I'll have my first beer!
