Ten Minutes after the bluff, Dave spots another animal....TURN AROUND... (this is not the most popular thing to do. Turned out to be a baby moose. The access road narrowed to a point that both sides on the RV were scraping the brush along side....ohh well at it to the list! * I picked up a rock at the Glacier for a keepsake...pretty cool with quarts, granite and I believe feldspar. The expectations of photos while moving 60 mph....frustrating...the mountains off in the distance might be ok but right off the road...impossible.
10:16 pm We entered Valdez around 7pm, we need gas, food, bait and dumpstation. We ate at the "Alaska Halibut House". Catch of the Day...Rockfish..awesome! Some weird guy wouldn't stop talking to me in the bathroom while changing clothes....awkward! I have noticed Valdez to have a lot of outcasts, migrants, felons etc.. yet it all seems to work out fine here. Fishing is all that matters here.
Stopped at visitor center and decide on a campground just outside of Valdez. Turned out...no dumpstation. Dave suggested going back to Valdez to an RV park there (less desirable b/c basically parking lots with RV's packed like sardines). Before returning to Valdez...
